Double-click the title bar of the window which will undock and you can now easily work with it. When you are finished with the window, simply double-click the title bar of the window again, and it will automatically re-dock where it had been.
If you mess up your windows layout using this, then simply reset it back to your default windows layout by selecting Window -> reset window layout from the menu. After you confirm the operation, the window layout will be reset to default.
